Elwood-John H. Glenn High School sophomore Emma Rothleder recently delivered a significant amount of food to the school’s food pantry, courtesy of her Girl Scout Troop 1619.  Rothleder is starting her Girl Scout Gold Award, and assisting the food pantry with food collections at Stop & Shop and constructing food collection bins for each building in the district.

“Summer is a difficult time for families in need because they are not receiving breakfast and lunch at school, so our deliveries must be larger to help with this,” said math teacher Christina Kerensky-DeSimone, who created the John Glenn food pantry with technology teacher Alex Wightman.
