Elwood-John H. Glenn High School recently announced its Class of 2025 valedictorian, Davin Li, and salutatorian, Katherine Moravec. The two seniors have had outstanding academic careers while at Glenn, with both being named AP Scholars with Distinction.

A Commended Student in the 2025 National Merit Scholarship Program, Li is also an accomplished violinist, selected for the All-State Symphony Orchestra, All-County Orchestra and Long Island String Festival Association Honor Orchestra, and was named 2024 Homecoming King.

“I am proud of this achievement and grateful to my friends, family, and the teachers and staff at Glenn for their support in making all of this possible,” Li said.

Moravec, who earned a prestigious Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory internship, will finish with 17 completed AP exams, four of which were self-taught.

“I’m incredibly proud to have achieved this goal, and I am eternally grateful to the wonderful teachers that helped me to reach it,” Moravec said. “I love how I look in silver!”
