Elwood-John H. Glenn High School has been recognized as a New York State Public High School Athletic Association Scholar-Athlete School of Distinction for the ninth consecutive year. Only 114 schools across the state earned this prestigious status for the 2023-2024 school year. The purpose of the award is to inspire varsity coaches to challenge their teams to achieve a statewide academic honor.  To earn School of Distinction recognition, 100% of a school’s varsity teams must qualify for and receive the Scholar-Athlete team award. School of Distinction winners will be presented with a certificate and a commemorative award at their local athletic director workshop this fall.  

“Congratulations to our student-athletes and the entire K-12 staff who have played a valuable role in the lives of our student-athletes,” Athletic Director Dave Shanahan said.
