Elwood-John H. Glenn High School ended Spirit Week on a high note, welcoming costumed students from all four classes – seniors in red, juniors in orange, sophomores in yellow and freshmen in green – to the gymnasium's bleachers on Oct. 18 for a pride-filled pep rally. The event kicked off with the band’s rendition of “The Star-Spangled Banner,” accompanied by American Sign Language students, followed by exceptional performances from the band, cheerleaders and kickline. Athletics teams recognized included cheerleading, gymnastics, boys and girls cross-country, girls tennis, girls volleyball, boys and girls soccer, golf, kickline and football. Students competed fiercely to demonstrate the loudest class pride, along with chicken knockout and tug of war battles between the four classes, won by the seniors.
