Senior Joey Mammolito Wins NYSPHSAA Community Service Challenge Award thumbnail261113

Elwood-John H. Glenn High School senior Joey Mammolito recently won the New York State Public High School Athletic Association’s spring 2024 Community Service Challenge award. NYSPHSAA President Robert Zayas presented Mammolito with the award in a Sept. 19 ceremony at the Section XI offices in Farmingville. Additionally, John Glenn was presented with the NYSPHSAA’s 2023-2024 Sportsmanship Promotion Program Award as well as the School of Distinction award for having 100% of its teams earn Scholar-Athlete designation.

“Joey Mammolito is an exceptional young man who cares deeply about his fellow classmates and the Elwood-John Glenn community,” Elwood Athletic Director Dave Shanahan said.

“Thank you to the NYSPHSAA for selecting my project and John Glenn High School as the spring 2024 Community Service Challenge winner,” Mammolito said.
