Another Day, Another Build for John Glenn’s Habitat for Humanity Project

Elwood-John H. Glenn High School students participated in the second Habitat for Humanity build in Riverhead on March 18, assisting with painting, tiling, laying laminate flooring and even moving a shed to comply with Town of Riverhead setback guidelines. When completed, the house that students assisted with will be owned by David, a Vietnam veteran who is taking care of his disabled brother.

Every year, the Habitat for Humanity Club supports this great cause with two days of “sweat equity” and monetary contributions from proceeds made during the annual Thanksgiving cheesecake sale.
