The Elwood-John H. Glenn High School Memorial Day Committee is excited to announce the return of the Field of Honor initiative, offering a meaningful way to respect those who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces. Families and community members are invited to dedicate flags in tribute of local heroes, creating a powerful display of gratitude along Kenneth Avenue. All proceeds from this fundraiser will support the creation of a Wall of Heroes at the high school – a permanent tribute recognizing the service and sacrifice of military members from the local community. The installation will feature military memorabilia, student-made military branch symbols and a multimedia component that will showcase the stories of local veterans. This project aims to serve as both a place of remembrance and an educational resource, inspiring students with a deeper understanding of patriotism, service and sacrifice.
