*The Art League "Art with a Partner for Kids with Special Needs"*
This series provides each participant and his/her special loved one a
precious opportunity to bond together while creating something beautiful.
Using a multitude of mediums, each young person goes home with a completed
craft project each session. This program is led by Toni Neuschaefer, who
for the past thirteen years has directed the Town of Huntington’s
multi-faceted Saturday Recreational Program for Children with Special
Needs. Toni is also the mother of a 25 year old daughter with multiple
special needs.

*Walt Whitman HS presents "Students helping Students Special
Education College Night"
- Tuesday Jan 10, at 7:30pm*
Learn about supports and accommodations available in college. Learn
different pathways to diploma. Learn to navigate the college application

*Elwood SEPTA - College Planning Night *
Our next SEPTA meeting will be held Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at 7:30pm at
JGHS Library. Ms. Kristen Karch, JGHS psychologist, will present our yearly
College Planning night. An informative presentation of how to prepare your
college bound teen for the next phase of his/her education. This event is
for students and parents. Anyone is welcome to come and get informed on the
process for a student who may need learning assistance at the college
level. It's never too early to prepare. Ms. Sallie, one of JGHS guidance
counselors, will also be in attendance.
